Grasse
Capital of perfumes, a passage to Grasse is essential if only to visit the many museums of this region, away from the crowd of the coast.
Perfume shops (free guided tours in all languages)
The activity of the World Capital of Perfumes is essentially focused on international relations, which means that the thirty or so perfume factories send their creations around the world.
That's why Grasse has managed to make its industry a real art, combining luxury, refinement and quality of products. Visit one of the many perfume shops, create your own perfume during a workshop, or stroll in the alleys of the historic center.
The tourist perfumeries open their doors to the public and offer free guided tours so that visitors discover an exciting experience in the mysterious alchemy of perfumes - through raw materials, distillation, enfleurage, and in discussions with the perfumer and his/her creations - to finish their visits in a sales room.
Some of them offer introductory courses in Perfumery that allow perfume lovers to create their own eau de toilette with the help of a "Nose".
